:)

It's hard to stay mad when there's so
much beauty in this world. Sometimes I
feel like i'm seeing it all at once, and it's
too much, my heart fills up like a balloon
that's about to burst and then i remember
to relax, and stop trying to hold onto it,
and then it flows through me like rain and
i can't feel anything but gratitude.

Carpe Diem

Maybe were making a statement, marking our generation, changing the world by reverting back to the free love and spontaneity that then and to this date never was, or will be idolized. It is said that the youth is wasted on the young, but not if you realize in your youth to take grasp of reality and forceivly reject all the ignorance the world strikes us with daily, then is the young not wasted on you. All I have to say is Carpe Diem, but if I could tweak this OH so popular saying, Id make it so everyone learned to forever remember "Sieze Your Life."

I learned in my English class last semester, that it's OKAY, to not have a plan. We are raised in a society that forces the educated to memorize the dates of our presidents births and deaths, made to recite the pledge of allegiance until were of age- and then do whatever the hell we want-, remeber the years in which the Cold War took place, and even research and vigorously study the history of our home state( which trust me, probably everyone moves out of by the time they're 22 and hence makes the 8th grade year...pointless). Yet, one thing we are never instructed to do or study is the very essence of who we are. So many kids, teenagers, adults never grow to be themselves or even accept whom they really are. We are taught to fit a mold because life is more simple that way. PAHHLEAASEE...in no way is this a rant about how anti-soceity i am, or about "going against the grain, and not fitting THE mold"...yes it does serve as a pedastool in my argument but not at all the very meat of my purpose.

"Sieze Your Life", you have one life to live, one chance to leave your mark, and every oppurtunity to make what you want of it. Recently, as almost every 16-29 year old has heard, a new show called the Burried Life has scrapped the surface on this transparent, elephant in the room, life-style no parent wants to raise their children under. But in reality- true, cold, hard reality parenting can only take a child soo far.

In the Documentary I just saw (called "The Journey" Definately recommend it) four people and a dog, travel the country starting from right here in Atlanta,GA all the way to California and the tip of Washington in a beautiful, retro yellow volswagon van asking American citizens, about "Life". Whether it be the purpose, their story, how theyll use it or whats the point. Every question answered but no answer the same. And I think that may be my point. What we dont realize is...we are all the same. We are all here for a limited time, all whom have a differnet story but at the same time all having experienced that same short story at some point in the entire story book of ourselves. Studies say: "Those who live a life in regret, are those who live unhappier in their later years." It may not even be the fact if they tried and failed but rather if they even tried. Sieze the day, moment, week, month, year, LIFE. And regardless of what people think of what you want to do, if its your dream, live it out.
Personally this documentary hit home, because it is a dream of mine to hop in a car and leave everything behind to experience the endless stories of American citizens and maybe even, myself. One day I hope to live this quote : "You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. What you will discover will be wonderful. What you will discover is yourself." But in the same mentality those who never aspire to chase their dreams live a life in fear and coward behavior.
Don be regretfull; enjoy every minute and soak it up. Enjoy yourself, be vulnerable, because underneath it all vulnerablity is the strongest strength. The ability to feel all emotion and ask for help when you need it; wisdom.

Maybe.

Maybe there isn't such things as "Best Friends", or even good and bad friends.
Photobucket

Photobucket
Maybe there is just friends; people who stand by you when you're hurt and help you feel not so lonely.

Photobucket
Maybe they're always worth being scared for, and hoping for, and living for.

Photobucket
Maybe worth dying for, too, if that's what has to be.

Photobucket

No "Best Friends", no good friends and/or no bad friends. Only people you want, and people you need. People who build their houses in your heart.

01.28. // Choppy #1

The things about life that I've learned
is that you're going to get hurt.
You're going to have emotional nights
and cry yourself to sleep for hours.

You're going to suffer some
kind of heartbreak, some kind of loss.
But you will also have those moments where you heal.
Those moments are the best.

You feel like you smile for the first time again.
You feel like you're alive again.
Life just kinda restarts.

My Sunken Heart :

Alright, so I am going to keep this short and non-sweet.
I just finished watching the Minnesota Vikings versus New Orleans Saints playoff game. Well, unfortunately the Vikings lost. Of course, I was rooting for them - I live in MN. Gosh damn, the game was intense. It even went to over time, too! Vikings did very well during second quarter -- like, they KILLED Saint's ass!
I got upset at Adria Peterson, because of all the fucken fumbles he did! But I was happy to see that he stepped up a notch during 3rd and 4th quarter. Then holy shit, Quarterback Brett Favre gets injured, but then he got back into the game. Anyways, it doesn't matter what I say anymore, i just realized, b/c in the end -- Vikings lost. It was pretty close. I'm super sad and disappointed. My heart weeps for them, but I guess if you sort of think about it, they did not derserve to win. Why? well my reason is because there were too many fumbles and turn-overs, and yeah, they pretty much just fucked up and their game WAS fucked up too.

So now, I'm just at my boyfriends house; chilling and doing nothing but blogg my "pain" away... and yeah, watch my friends and my boyfriend play MADDEN, Lol. (Saints VS. Vikings) Really, we would be out celebrating, but were just all sort of like, "whatever," so i guess...fuck it. haha.

I Still love and believe in the VIKINGS though!

Morning Beauty.

I admire the naked body.
I admire beautiful Woman.
I admire beautiful individuals.
I admire confidence.
But I don't admire boast.
 I admire nature.
I admire personality.
I admire carefree-ness.

Life oh Life

OKAY -- well Life is going good, but relationship is rocky at the moment. If I have let the past go, I need not to be pissed off about it now. I need to stay calm at times quit confronting because I understand that sometimes, things shouldn't and/or need to be said.

I forgave way too much. But now, I just feel unappreciated. Now, I just feel like my conversations are useless. I don't want to forgive that person anymore. I want to be able trust again, to believe again. . . Anyways, I know this is sort of cheesy, but I believe in Horoscopes, Lol:

My Love Horoscope:
There may be some tension with love, Aquarius, but if you keep a cool head then you will understand how to navigate these troubled waters with ease. This is a time where the challenges are coming from external forces, and whether you are single or attached, you just need to nip this in the bud. You may have to deal with one annoying individual who could appear to be looking for an argument today. The best approach is to avoid confrontation while resolutely staying your current course. Do not get caught up in drama, stick to the issues and facts and you can sort this out. If you find that you can not, then that alone is indication enough that this person or interest is not in your best interests.

On this day of your life, God wants you to know...
that the way you treat others is the way you treat yourself. True respect for another comes from self respect. True love for another comes from self love. True forgiveness for another comes from self forgiveness.

Jean Paul Gaultier & Zac Posen hits the TARGET.

The next high-end designer to hit Target is New York darling Zac Posen and a native of France, Jean Paul Gaultier. Speaking of first, Zac Posen Go International collection will be at most stores and Target.com April 25 through May 30. The collection’s 100% Zac, made for a woman who likes to dress up, but might not have a red carpet to walk every other week. It’s mostly dresses, highlights include a sleeveless floral mini with a massive side bow ($74), a well-cut purple polka-dot number with thick seams ($39), and the long printed gown at left ($69). Swimsuits come in gold lame ($40) and tie dye (so do tees), skirts are basic black in flouncy cuts ($40) and Zac’s even included a slim black suit ($90). You’ll have to wait until April 25th to buy it, but click through to see the whole collection. I'm certain Zac's whimsical aesthetic will translate to Target's youthful racks quite seamlessly.

Zac Posen's Lookbook:

And lastly, the JPG update! His affordable line collection for Target will 250 stores and online March 7th, 2010 through April 11. His collection pays tribute to the American woman, celebrating the forces of style both past and present in American pop culture. So, what can we expect when the line drops on March 7th? A hodgepodge of styles, really. At times the looks can look sweet, ranging from prim floral A-line skirts to bustier tops with a chipper, sailor's neckline. But other times the looks can be positively head-scratching. Prices range from $17.99 for swimsuit separates to $199 for those sick leather jackets. I am definitely looking forward to a cool dose of Parisian chic and some hot prints!

PS: My Apologies for the pictures being so small. I couldn't have them to be any bigger or else, the last picture on the right would get cut off. =/

POLAROID = THE FUTURE!!??

First and foremost, I have and must say, that I absolutely LOVE and have always enjoyed playing as well as using Polaroid cameras. Finding out that Lady Gaga is the new Creative Director of Polaroid, I can just feel that it will be a comeback! =)
I remember last year when I was going to do a magazine fashion shoot & project for my fashion class, I wanted to go use a polaroid camera to shoot my models. I assumed they were still around (lol) so I had everything planned out and all my models picked, but then when I went to the stores to purchase a polaroid...no stores were selling them. I then did my research and figured that they were discontinued in 2008 as what Lady Gaga said in her interview. Man, I was disappointed....

So there's my little scoop of story-telling. Watch the first clip, b/c Lady Gaga speaks just about everything I was going to type down about Polaroid cameras [SERIOUSLY].

- Birthday -

I admire this piece of art work by Artist Marc Chagall (1887)
Love the colors, and the concept behind work; which of course, could be anything depending how you interpret it. In my opinion, I feel that it's sort of a bittersweet feeling/concept behind it, again -- that's just my opinion.

Don't Settle

A life is a series of compromises – going left when you wanted to go right because the taxi cut you off, taking the chicken on the buffet table because the prime rib was all gone, going to the prom with your best friend because you thought your dream date would turn you down. There’s nothing bad or wrong about being flexible. The trick is knowing when to compromise and when to go for it.
To do that, you have to know what’s really important to you, and once you know that, don’t settle. If you don’t have what you want, make sure you do know what you want – being both realistic and specific – and then go for it. You can always re-evaluate. What most people regret is not the mistakes they made, but the chances they didn’t take.

Fighting; Why was I mad at you. Lol -- yeah, it happened to you too.

You know I've seen a movie called "What Happens in Vegas Stays In Vegas", and I began to think.... It portrays two people who left their busy life's to go Vegas and how they are two totally different people. The thing is, that even though they are two totally different people they are still very much perfect for each other because they level each other out.
It seems that throughout that entire movie, they are really in love, but each one does something to try to hurt the other, and they get so caught up in that they overlook that the other person is great for them. Eventually, they work it up so much that they finally just split. It takes a few hard knocks on the head before one of them finally decides, "Hey maybe I should wake thee fuck up, and not let the best thing that ever happened to me go."
It's sad, because I've seen this happen before in other relationships. I think that a difference in maturity levels lead to us breaking up rather than realizing that we were perfect for each other and overlooking that fact. I think that our maturity was not where it should have been for a relationship that deep. In addition to that, I feel like sometimes we rush into things, not because it happened to fast but, because we were not ready to dedicate ourselves to each other.
I think this is usual for a lot relationships these days. I feel like a lot of people just think that everything is going to be a prince charming sweep me off my feet, but it never happens like that. Even the perfect families have problems. It just depends how much people see. Not only that but each time you overcome together, you become that much stronger together. It helps you learn how to deal with future situations and also helps you grow together because you fought through something together and became stronger.
Take a look at the men and women who served in wars or the military. Being put in a crappy situation like war and then to overcome it with your buddy in the fox hole next to you creates a comradier like no other type of relationship can compare to. World War II Veterans will tell you. It doesn't have to be your brother because you become more than that when you are depending on that person with your life and vice versa. Yes this is a little off subject but it goes to show you how going things together even the worst situations make you the strongest together in any relationship period.

A Documentary: The September Issue

Definitely a movie worth watching. I don't know about you, but I absolutely loved and enjoyed it -- I really like watch documentary films. Plus, I'm a huge fan of Vogue Magazine and a subscriber, and Anna Wintour = Powerful & Polarizing. I honestly admire an great Editor-in-Chief's hard work in a magazine. But there is something undeniably special about Anna, and I just don't know what it is. . .
Anyways, I liked being able to see and get a glimpse of the "behind the scenes" of a magazine company and really just 'Fashion' in general. Of course it's going to be competitive, but what kind of career isn't, hmm? I enjoyed watching and knowing that Fashion Designers have an intimidation, I mean -- I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but Lol; seriously, did you guys see the nervousness in them when meeting Anna Wintour? But yeah, I just wanted to point that out, and I also enjoyed watching the hurricane between Grace & Anna. It was entertaining, but I appreciate the fact they no matter how many disagreements they may have; they both still keep a very good and sane relationship with each other. I mean yeah, Fashion is all about criticism, you either love it, or you hate it. But you have to learn to keep your head up, be strong and keep moving on, because it will either benefit you, or who knows -- maybe not. But yea, Anyways, I feel like i'm going off topic, or IDK -- maybe i'm just rambling a lot... anyways, you guys should definitely check this movie out. You might learn something from it! =)

H&M's GARDEN COLLECTION!!

I am sooooo ready for the spring & summer, like baaad! Just hearing the word GARDEN makes me think Spring! (=
I just recently heard that H&M will be launching a new line in the store, obviously called, The Garden Collection. The Garden Collection is made using organic and recycled materials.
All the garments have been produced using sustainable materials or using recycled PET bottles or textile waste. I'm soooo excited that H&M has come up with this line/collection and is being eco-friendly, because I honestly believe we all should start being more friendly to the environment, and stop wasting. Because H&M is a highly popular store and has a collection of Fashion, I hope that other stores will think about being more Eco-Friendly.

Aside from that, i'm going to ramble on about the garments of the The Garden Collection. Honestly, these are one of the best eco-friendly garments I have ever seen, and I was just blown away when I glanced and glimpsed through the collection. It is absolutely exotic, romantic, chic, flirty, fun, glamourous and abstract. I love floral prints of the many dresses and skirts, and the textured halter dress, and jacket. The shorts with ruffles -- mannn, who would ever think of an idea like that?! I never would have probably imagined that. Props to whoever came up with that look, because  it's undeniably catchy and intriguing! I adore the whole collection, and it has taken my breath away. The prices are not that bad as well -- i mean, it is still H&M price point. Lol.
Enjoy the photos, though! =D

Stefani Germanotta A.KA. Lady Gaga is TRUE LOVE.

So first of all, I really like her better with her brunette hair, but I suppose blonde doesn't look to cliche on her otherwise. Anyways, did you know that her real name is Stefani Germanotta. I didn't. I have always wondered, but never took the time to look into it, though i'm sure it is only just a click and search away...but if you know me, i'm laaazyyyy. Haha. Anyways, I love and admire Lady Gaga -- no doubt. Yeah, everyone says and thinks that she is weird...but that was always what she was thought as when she was younger. She was never really accepted amongst others and always felt different -- btw these are words that she mentioned about herself. Lady GaGa is so talented though, and she is such an amazing singer and performer. I love the fact that she stays/ed true to herself as a performer, if you just watch the videos I posted below, i'm sure you'll understand what I mean... hopefully. lol. Anyways, going forward, Lady GaGa also has a beautiful voice. It's very catchy and it just sounds really cool. A voice that I could definitely continue listening to. I love her songs too because they're not boring. Plus, i love the way she expresses herself not only through music, but through Fashion. I admire her fearless personality and attitude, and I love how she is not afraid to dress up, and care less about what other's and the critics think. That's totally the attitude & now if you've been paying any attention at all, she is a walking runway.
Here is a quote by her during her interview with ELLE MAGAZINE, issue January 2010 & this has totally nothing to do with Fashion, but whatever. Lol.
“I feel that if I can show my demise artistically to the public, I can somehow cure my own legend. I can show you so you’re not looking for it. I’m dying for you on domestic television—here’s what it looks like, so no one has to wonder.”

~ Mmmmmm ~

Favourite Fashion Icons.

1.
Mary-Kate Olsen;
I have loved, admired and alway will. MK's fashion sense. She always ceases to amaze me every time and she looks flawless in anything she puts on. I love her carefree style and attitude, that's why she's my numero uno!

2.
Alexa Chung;
British born model and half Chinese; she has the essence of such an exotic and captivating look.  I find her style uber quirky and very distinctive. I love the way she dresses up. She really, in my opinion, represents a balance that's missing. I love that her beauty style is miles away from that super-pristine, blow-out queen look of the Upper East Side (think Gossip Girl), but it's about 3,000 times more chic than the mish-mash explosion of color and retro cuts that have been synonymous with Williamsburg. Insane 80s revivals aside, there is beauty in balance, y'know?

\

3.
Agyness Deyn;
What information can I give you about this waif of a style icon? British, supermodel, and only 21 years old, she is the next Brit model (after Lily Cole) to have caught my eye.
What I absolutely love about her is her almost radical sense of dressing. Instead of rocking the branded stuff, she goes for high ended street wear, very nice cuts. Basically her outfits just spell ATTITUDE.

4.
Rachel Bilson;
YES -- Rachel Bilson. No lies, her looks are pretty darn great to me. They're chic, sophisticated, casual, and bold! That's why I love her looks.

Alright... so i'm getting tired and a lil lazy. I'll update more when I feel more motivated. Lol.
